Nak Fryer and Overnight Storage Tanks

Nak Fryer features:

  • 250kg per hour capacity.

  • Stainless steel framework, oil bath, chutes and guards.

  • Stainless steel mesh, chain conveyor belts and product pusher cleats.

  • 50mm insulation panels around the oil bath and removable stainless steel covers over the frying section to contain the heat.

  • Manual hoist with safety switch to lift the conveyor belts and heating sub-assembly out of the oil bath for easy cleaning.

  • Separate variable speed drives to set different speeds for the conveyor taking the product into the oil bath for frying, and for the conveyor taking the product out of the oil bath to drain it.

  • 10 x 4Kw electric Incoloy heating elements that are easily removed for servicing.

  • Separate temperature controllers on in-feed and exit ends to compensate for cold product entry.

  • Adjustable automatic oil level top up to maintain a constant oil level.

  • Oil level monitoring sensor with audible alarm which shuts down the electrical supply to the heating elements when oil is too low.

  • Oil overflow pipe.

  • Oil filtration unit, processing 1000 litres per hour. Minimizes fine product particles in the oil for cleaner operation and longer oil life.

  • 400 micron self cleaning filter.

  • Removable product fines collection tray.

  • Oil is circulated into the fryer via a dispersion manifold nozzle to help with the flow and temperature of the oil.

  • The oil filter pump assists with draining boiled out water.

Overnight Storage Tanks:

One tank is used for new oil to maintain the correct oil level in the fryer, the other tank is used to store used fryer oil for overnight storage or for cleaning of the fryer bath.

Tank features:

  • Heated element jackets

  • Pneumatically operated solenoid valve

  • Stainless steel construction

  • The tanks are easily removable for high pressure cleaning.

Draining conveyor

Draining Conveyor features:

  • Full stainless steel construction, complete with a woven stainless steel mesh belt attached to a stainless steel chain driven on guide rails.

  • The side guides and chute ensure no spillages occur and it can be adapted with a twin chute to supply two coating drums simultaneously.

  • The oil catchment tray comes with a discharge pipe for easy collection of the excess oil.

  • The conveyor is driven by a geared motor linked to a variable speed drive.

Flavour Applicators

The method used to flavour your snack food will depend on the consistency and texture of your flavouring product. A Scarf Plate Feeder is used only to apply dry flavouring, whereas our Slurry Mixing Tanks and Dispersion Wheel is used to apply more sticky or oily type flavouring. Both methods are used in combination with our specially designed Rotating Coating Drum for even dispersion of flavouring onto your snack food.

Rotating Coating Drum:

  • Full stainless steel construction.

  • The diameter and length of the drum is adapted to suit your type of application.

  • The enhanced drum flights are carefully designed at the right angle and frequency to achieve the best product coverage and reduce product breakages.

  • The operator can easily adjust the drum's discharge angle to control the product dwell time.

  • The drum is driven by a four wheel drive system with a variable speed control, all enclosed by safety guards.

Slurry Mixing Tanks & Dispersion Wheel:

  • The slurry application system is designed to deliver precise and consistent mixtures of high viscosity liquid and slurry mixtures.

  • This type of application is suited to mixtures containing an oil and powder flavours. Once mixed, the mixture is delivered with a peristaltic pump via a dispersion wheel to flavour the naks inside our coating drum.

  • The twin tank system provides mixing, blending, storage, temperature control and uninterrupted dispensing of the slurry mixtures to the applicator.

Scarf Plate Feeder:

  • Stainless steel construction.

  • It uses a variable vibratory frequency to drive total control over the dry powder's flavour discharge rate.

  • It has a positive variable speed auger filler system.

  • A controlled vibratory spreading action forms a curtain to evenly spread the dry flavour onto the product in the coating drum.

  • The tray assembly is mounted onto a mild steel framework on castors to be easily rolled in and out of the coating drum for ease of cleaning.
